This is no big deal. Most people just use windows.com to create their internet connection.
This is probably why I have windows vista. It’s a pretty standard internet connection. It’s a Windows system and it’s basically just a web browser.
So… I’m used to it, but I have had no problems connecting to Windows via internet. I’ve tried it a few times and it’s always worked. In fact, I have had no problems connecting to the internet on my computer at all, ever. This wasn’t Windows XP, but I would imagine that it should work no matter what.
It might have something to do with the fact that the interface is pretty standard, but I have also had no issues with windows connecting to the internet. This website shows you how to create a windows VPS (virtual private server). I would imagine that that should work with windows 7 (or whatever it is it was).
The reason I would think this would work is that your windows computer will be running a different version of windows than the one your linux computer is running. If the linux computer is running the same version of windows as the linux computer, then windows will not be able to connect to your linux computer, and if windows is not running the same version of windows as the linux computer, it wont work. For example, I am running 11.
If you are using windows 10 and you have an older version of windows, you may still have this problem. Windows 10 is a new version of windows and it may not have the same version of windows as your windows computer. If that is the case, please check your windows 10 registry and see if its updated and if so, delete the registry key that is not updated.
Windows 10 is a newer version of windows than your windows computer. If your windows registry is not updated, your windows 10 will not work on your linux computer.

If you’re using a browser and the internet is the only connection, you might be using some kind of malicious software. You could try to uninstall or restore the old windows 10 registry key. (The registry key is not updated in Windows 10.) In Windows 10, you’ll have to uninstall/restore the registry key by pressing the “x” key (or whatever key you need to enter).
