This is a good thing. It means that the internet isn’t 100% reliable. That’s not a bad thing though. There are always exceptions. It’s just a good idea to make sure you check any website that you visit as often as possible. There are always a few shady sites out there.
While there are always exceptions, especially when it comes to the internet, you should always be wary of websites and blogs that claim to be from news sources. Many times these sites just have a lot of links from other sites and it can be hard to tell where the sites come from. And then there are those sites that just use deceptive language. Of course there are also sites out there that arent very reliable, but then again it isnt hard to find unreliable sites.
For example, let’s say I’m just browsing some random site with a bunch of links from other sites (not necessarily from a reputable source). I just happen to notice that they are linking to some shady site that just says that they are from a site called “ThisIsTheTruth”.
ThisIsTheTruth is a site that was started by a group of people in the US who were searching for information on the legitimacy of certain news stories. They have a website that is mostly made up of misleading statements and links. ThisIsTheTruth is quite the opposite of that. Instead of being a site that links to other sites that are clearly not reliable, thisIsTheTruth is a site that links to sites that are clearly not trustworthy.
It’s pretty much impossible to put anything on the internet that isn’t true. Whether it’s a claim that a new-fangled invention or technology is going to change the world, or that a politician is an evil scheming little shit, our world is so full of propaganda that the truth is never more than a click away.
If you can’t put something on the internet that isnt true, then you probably shouldn’t be putting it on the internet. The truth is never more than a click away, and the only people who would be willing to click on it are the ones who already believe it. And they’re the ones who wouldn’t be willing to click on it if it was false.
The truth is not truth. If you dont believe that, you dont believe anything at all. The truth is not truth. Truth isnt truth.
When it comes to fake news, as much as I’m a proponent of fact-free reporting I am also a fan of the “it’s complicated” mantra. If you find something in real life that isnt really true, then you’ll likely find the same thing in online news reports too. Fake news is just one of those things that is so difficult to put a definition to because it is so subjective.
The problem is that most of the time it is difficult to separate the fake news from the real news. Most news reports in the real world are not “real,” they are edited and fabricated. We know that because the news reports that are published in the media are usually edited and made to look like they are the actual news reports. Fake news however is often just pure fabrication.
