Since the majority of our Internet usage is now done on our mobile devices, I thought I’d tell the story of my high speed internet experience in Pittsburgh, PA.
The first day I tried to make a connection in Pittsburgh, I had to wait for about an hour for the DSL fiber to reach my house. I was really surprised because I thought DSL was faster in Pittsburgh.
Since then, I spent more time on my phone than most people I’ve ever talked to, so I was pretty pleased with the speed. I just didn’t feel like I was getting any better. My phone finally went with the internet to Pittsburgh. And that was pretty interesting.
I guess you can call Pittsburgh a “high speed” city. But it is quite a bit slower than most of my fellow Americans. I have a fairly fast DSL connection, but because of my location, a decent DSL speed doesn’t mean much. Of course, if you are in a major metro like I am, DSL will just be a big pain in the butt.

The problem is that we would have to put on the Internet a few extra days to get our traffic through the city. If we put on a few extra days, the city and satellite would be better, but not as good for the traffic they serve.
