We have a router (aka router) that connects to our home Wi-Fi network in the form of a 3G internet connection. I find that I can get my internet data from the router, which can also be accessed from the computer screen of any computer without having to download a new router that I’ve already connected to.
I have a lot of trouble with the router and when I do, it’s because I don’t realize I’ve connected to the router. I don’t know I’ve connected, so I can’t use the internet.
For years we have had a problem where a computer that the router plugged into would not connect to the router. This problem did not exist until we started using a new router. The old router plugged directly into the wall and the new router plugs into the router. My advice is to buy a router that does not have a built-in firewall. While it is possible to do this with the ISP’s network, you have to either buy a router that is not connected to the internet, or do some work to set up your own. Also, if you do install a firewall, you should know a lot of the settings and should read the manual.
For a router, the router manual is a great read, but if you don’t do everything the manual says, then you can end up with a router that is not connected to the internet, or a router that is outdated.
